The Donkey Cart is a lovely painting by Hermann Herzog. Herzog, an artist trained at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, painted this piece sometime near 1886. The oil on canvas is in its original frame and is signed at lower right, "H. Herzog". The painting is in excellent condition and has been cleaned and varnished.
