Spring in Point Pleasant

Antonio Martino

oil on canvas, 36 x 40 inches

reproduction frame

signed at lower left: "A.P. Martino 30"

Spring in Point Pleasant is one of Antonio Martino's most beautiful landscapes. This early painting, dated 1930, depicts Point Pleasant, Pennsylvania on a beautiful Spring day; when the trees and fields are alive with new growth. The oil on canvas is signed at lower left and measures  36 x 40 inches. This painting is pictured in the new volume on the Martino family titled, "The Martino's: A Legacy of Art", by Jim McClellan. In the book the seven Martino brothers are posing for a photo on a couch in what appears to be a family living room or library. In the background Spring in Point Pleasant is clearly visible (p. 6).
