Gallery News / 01.31.2024

The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts extends a warm invitation to all members for a special event at Morton Contemporary Art Gallery. Come and discover the captivating story of Peter Miller, born Henrietta Myers (PAFA '34), an artist, philanthropist, mystic, and fearlessly courageous woman. Miller's surrealist modernist paintings, found in a Catskills barn in the depths of the COVID 2020 pandemic, have been lovingly restored and are now on display in Philadelphia. Don't miss our fascinating, members-only conversation uncovering Miller's artistry and legacy, featuring Paul Gratz (PAFA '83), owner and head conservator of Gratz Gallery & Conservation Studio, John Randolph, a close family friend of Miller, and moderated by Debbie Morton, gallery owner and curator.
